FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What exam boards and qualifications does PastPaperPractice cover?

PastPaperPractice currently covers Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics A (4MA1) and Pearson Edexcel International Advanced Level (IAL) Pure Mathematics 1 through 4.

Is PastPaperPractice free?

Yes. Browsing past paper questions and their mark schemes is completely free, with no account and no payment required. A free account unlocks progress tracking and requires approval, but is never paid.

Do I need to create an account to use the site?

No. You can browse every topic, open any question, and view its mark scheme without creating an account. An account is only needed if you want to track your own progress over time.

How do I get an account?

Request a free account from the site. Requests are reviewed and approved by the site's maintainer, a working Pearson Edexcel mathematics teacher — there is no payment step at any point.

Do the questions come with video solutions?

Yes. Every question has a video walkthrough showing a full worked solution, timestamped so you can jump straight to that question in the video.

Are the questions organized by topic or by exam paper?

By topic. You can browse by the official specification topic (for example, a specific Pure Mathematics topic, or an IGCSE topic like Ratio and Proportion) and see every past paper question on that topic across multiple exam series, rather than working through one whole paper at a time.

Who maintains this site?

PastPaperPractice is built and maintained by a Pearson Edexcel mathematics teacher at an international school, for students studying these exact qualifications.

How do I contact PastPaperPractice?

You can email pastpaperpractice@gmail.com for any questions about the site, your account, or your data.
